Julia's Birthday Party

On Saturday morning we made it out of the house in record time and were on the road to New Jersey by 7:30am. We stopped to fill up the tank and get Starbucks (unlike the old days, we get it once a month now if we're lucky), and ate breakfast on the road.

We arrived at my sister's house around 10am, just moments before Jessica & Julia got home from a basketball game. We visited for a few hours, had lunch and then Josie took a nap while Brandie went out to watch Jessica play (and Anthony coach) another basketball game. Unfortunately she didn't take any pictures but we'll try to get some next time.

After they got home we went to a nail salon for Julia's birthday party, where she and some of her closest friends (including Sophie) got manicures and pedicures. The day was far too exciting for Sophie to take a nap, so she looks a little shell-shocked in all the pics. Afterwards we went back to my sister's house for a delicious risotto dinner in their recently-finished kitchen.
