We're Moving to New Zealand
Phew! I've said it.
I don't know why we've been so hesitant to post about this, well, yes I do. It's the fear that once you get something really cool and tell someone about it, that it won't happen because you were foolish enough to share your excitement. Man, some screwed up logic there!
I've decided that I am not going to play by these silly rules.
Jake got offered a job to work with Weta Digital in Wellington, New Zealand for the next year. Cool on so many levels but the biggest one is we all get to move to New Zealand for a year! We've been riding a roller-coaster of emotions since the first email came a couple weeks ago. It's crazy when you look at all of the details that have to be worked out. But if you can step back and look at the whole picture, it's an amazing adventure that we just couldn't pass up.
Here's the quick rundown of how the we are going about this.
We're renting (or trying to) our house, selling our cars, loaning our pets, storing our stuff all the while entertaining our two little girlies. Once there, we have one day to sleep then Jake goes straight to work the next day! We'll have to fill you in on how the rest of it goes.
As for now, we've got several rooms partially packed, pictures off the walls all packed and the jar of spackle is out. We're heading to Disney World this weekend for a wedding and the girls are looking forward to it. I have to admit I am looking forward to it as well since I'll get to escape my life of never ending To-Do lists for a couple days.
