Saturday
Brandie's out seeing the Sex and the City movie with some friends, so the girls & I made pizza (my first attempt at dough, a plain cheese and something resembling Joey's #8) and popcorn and watched Toy Story 2. Bed-time came a little late with all the fun, so I iust finished uploading what I'm guessing will be an entire month's worth of our allowed internet bandwidth to the photo album. Along with some housekeeping and reorganization I dug up some pics from our first few weeks here, here are some highlights:
Josie's birthday party
Our new Hikes folder
Our new Recipes folder
Fun at the City Life
Another week flew past, hard to believe it's almost Sunday again!
Today
we went to Palmer's in Mirarmar (yep, the same one we visited way back when) and got a heavy pot and some potting soil to put
our rosemary plant in, as the gale-force winds kept knocking it over.
Afterwards, following much pestering by Sophie we revisited the Island
Bay playground where she had so much fun the day before (image of her
on the slide above). Despite the big winter storm that's blowing in it
was another gorgeous day, and the snow-capped mountains of the South
Island were visible as we drove around the bays.
Brandie & the girls dropped me off at the neighborhood barber on the way home, but after half an hour or so of waiting I decided my hair wasn't long enough to warrant another half hour of reading men's magazines so I walked home and potted the rosemary plant, then started my pizza dough.
Brandie also met our neighbor across the street, who apparently is organizing a neighborhood meet-and-greet for us much like the one our neighbors back in Endicott organized for us last summer. What lucky people we are, to always run into such nice people!
