Happy Mother's Day

Grammy drove down from Oregon to visit us for Mother's Day. We went out to brunch in Point Reyes Station rather than our original plan of hitting the Bovine Bakery for morning buns and heading out to Limantour, because we were getting a big rainstorm.

After brunch we came home and took a nap, then went out to the outlet mall to do some shopping in spite of the downpour. Afterwards we ordered a pizza and settled into our pajamas to watch The Incredibles. Grammy and Sophie took more naps, definitely a great day for it.

It seems very late in the season to be getting such wintery weather, usually the hills are starting to dry up by now. We're not complaining though, pretty soon we'll be wishing for a nice rainy day like this one to stay inside and watch movies!

Thanks again for coming to see us, Grammy!

What a pleasure to spend Mother's day with my daughter, grandaughter, and son-in-law. Breakfast was wonderful despite the downpour. I received my first Grandma card from Little Miss Sophie for Mother's Day. Very cool! Yesterday, Monday, Sophie and I spent the whole day together. I was in heaven. Once I figured out how shwe liked to be held all was well. By the way she likes to be held the way her Mommy holds her. Although it was a bit blusterly she and took a short walk to the park. She loves the outdoors. Just like her mom as a baby. All in all we had a great day, regardless of the huge mess we made eating cereal. Her Mom made it look easy, but I managed to make a complete mess on both Sophie AND myself. Lots of fun! By 6:45 Mom and Dad came home from a long day at work. The minute she hears her Daddy she stops everything and focuses on him. She definitely knows her Daddy and Mommy. Personally, I have never seen a father so involved with every aspect of his child's life and development. Very refreshing! Of course there is nothing like Sophie snuggling up with Mom, She loves Mommy too. All in all the short time I got to spend with the Stephens family was shear pleasure, even though my legs and arms are killing me from walking and holding my sweet grandaughter. My first Mother's Day as a grandma couldn't have been better. Barbara Jean
